Andy King, a breakout personality from the Netflix doc\u00a0Fyre:\u00a0The Greatest Party That Never Happened<\/em>, has signed a talent deal with Wheelhouse Entertainment\u2019s Spoke Studios.<\/p>\n

An event producer, King became a pop culture icon after making a shocking confession about what he was willing to do in an effort to save Fyre Festival in one of two documentaries about the fraudulent music fest organized by Billy McFarland. The Spoke team seeks to leverage King\u2019s frankness, expertise in talent and brand relations, event production and more in original talk shows, podcasts and unscripted series across a multitude of genres and platforms.\u00a0A TV\u00a0project featuring King as its centerpiece is currently being shopped.<\/p>\n

King said: \u201cNo one was more surprised than I was that a documentary spotlighting my only professional strike-out would result in an unbelievable outpouring of love and support, and an overwhelming amount of interest and offers. I\u2019ve had a long, successful career as an event producer, and took an extraordinary leap of faith sharing openly and honestly my unique personal experience on Fyre Fest, and the phone has been ringing off the hook ever since. The barrage of memes notwithstanding, I\u2019ve been granted an opportunity that\u2019s impossible to pass up.”<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhile, lately, I’ve said a word I\u2019m not really used to ever saying\u2014\u2018no\u2019\u2014I am excited to get behind brands of all types after such a great experience with Ryan Reynolds and Aviation Gin, and I\u2019m in great hands with Spoke Studios and excited to push the envelope with new business and media ventures while continuing the work that I love and remaining 100 percent true to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
