DRG has acquired a trio of new history series from WildBear Entertainment through negotiations by its agent Wild Thring Media.<\/p>\n
Among the titles is A Royal Tour of the 20th Century<\/em>, a four-part series that follows the British royal family\u2014with a focus on Queen Elizabeth, the world\u2019s most traveled head of state\u2014as they influence and participate in history-defining historical moments. The six-parter Titans of the 20th Century<\/em> is a biographical series about the most powerful figures in the last century\u2014including Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler\u2014that uses archive film, photography and expert commentary to tell their stories. Jungle War<\/em> examines conflict in some of the world\u2019s most hostile and challenging environments from World War II campaigns and the post-war conflicts across six hour-long episodes.<\/p>\n A Royal Tour of the 20th Century<\/em> was commissioned by AB Droits in France, while Titans of the 20th Century<\/em> presold to N-TV in Germany and Jungle War<\/em> to Histoire in France.<\/p>\n Mette Kanne-Behrendsen, DRG\u2019s senior VP of acquisitions, said: \u201cWildBear\u2019s considered the use of archive material and storytelling expertise are now widely established in the international marketplace and we delighted that we can meet the on-going demand for their programming by investing in these wonderful new titles.
