The series, which is produced by the U.K. indie Rare TV and funded by TCB Media Rights with RMC D\u00e9couverte, looks at the new technology that is helping to explore the secrets of Ancient Egypt, offering new insights into the civilization.<\/p>\n<p>Sold as a part of TCB Media Rights\u2019 \u201cmini-commissioner\u201d strategy, <em>Egypt\u2019s Unexplained Files<\/em> is one of the company\u2019s latest TCB Original series to sell globally, following behind <em>Massive Engineering Mistakes<\/em> and <em>Abandoned Engineering<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Massive Engineering Mistakes<\/em>, produced by Argonon-owned BriteSpark Films in association with TCB Media Rights and Discovery UK, was recently acquired by Science Channel; France\u2019s Planete+; Discovery and Odisea in Spain; Discovery Italy; Viasat World for CEE, the Nordics and Africa; and Sky TV in New Zealand. It examines construction calamities from around the world.<\/p>\n<p><em>Abandoned Engineering<\/em>, from Like A Shot Entertainment in association with TCB Media Rights, has also sold worldwide. Science Channel bought season three, which examines massive projects that were cast aside, and Germany\u2019s Welt, as well as Canada\u2019s Blue Ant Media and Bell Media, have picked the series up.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the success of both <em>Massive Engineering Mistakes<\/em> and <em>Abandoned Engineering<\/em>, TCB has recommissioned the series for their second and fourth seasons, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Heaney, founder and CEO of TCB Media Rights, said: \u201cThese are some of the earliest shows that we tried out with this so-called \u2018commissioning\u2019 strategy; Like A Shot\u2019s <em>Abandoned Engineering<\/em> is the original and a sales phenomenon. <em>Massive Engineering Mistakes<\/em> has already been a massive sales success and <em>Egypt\u2019s Unexplained Files<\/em> has been a hit wherever it has aired.
