He will oversee the creation, development and management of all of Matchbox Pictures\u2019 unscripted projects. With 20 years of experience in both the U.S. and Australia, Munday has worked on titles such as <em>Survivor<\/em> and, more recently, <em>The Awesome Show<\/em> for NBC.<\/p>\n<p>A veteran of the unscripted industry, Munday spent 14 years working with award-winning producer Mark Burnett, during which time he was involved in the development of <em>The Apprentice<\/em>, <em>The Contender<\/em>, Steve Harvey\u2019s <em>Funderdome<\/em> and many other titles. Most recently, he worked with NBC\u2019s Universal Television Alternative Studio, developing and producing a wide range of unscripted content.<\/p>\n<p>Managing director for Matchbox, Alastair McKinnon, said: \u201cI am delighted to welcome Dan as Matchbox Pictures\u2019 new head of unscripted. Dan is an ideas powerhouse, with a proven track record in the global industry. Dan\u2019s vision, energy and enthusiasm make him the perfect choice to position our business for further growth both in Australia and internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Wachtel, president of NBCUniversal International Studios, said: \u201cDan is a super smart and energetic executive with a ton of producing experience, in both the U.S. and Australia.
