While traveling across the grasslands, woodlands, rivers and lakes of the region, viewers will catch sight of jaguars, tapirs, caiman, capybara and other species in the complementary programs. While <em>Jaguarland<\/em> follows several of the titular animals as they hunt their prey, <em>Brazil\u2019s Emerald Oasis<\/em> explores the diverse wildlife at Rebel Lake during the region\u2019s dry season. The docs will premiere this year in Brazil and internationally on Smithsonian Channel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jaguarland<\/em> and <em>Brazil\u2019s Emerald Oasis<\/em> are co-produced by Brazil\u2019s Canul Azul Films and Britain\u2019s Plimsoll Productions for Smithsonian Networks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to highlight the magnificent country of Brazil and the unique Pantanal region with these new commissions,\u201d said David Royle, chief programming officer at Smithsonian Channel. \u201cThese are our first original Brazilian commissions and signal our commitment to working with the talented Brazilian production community.
