Discovery Channel has promoted Joseph Boyle, an Emmy-winning executive producer, to the post of senior VP of production and development.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Boyle will report into Nancy Daniels, chief brand officer of Discovery and factual. Upon joining Discovery in 2013, he spearheaded production for many of the network\u2019s series, working on such programs as the Emmy-winning Deadliest Catch<\/em>, Naked and Afraid<\/em> and its spin-off,\u00a0Naked and Afraid XL<\/em>. Most recently, Boyle served as Discovery Channel\u2019s VP of production and development. Prior to joining Discovery, Boyle was a showrunner overseeing productions for Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel, HISTORY and Syfy.<\/p>\n Daniels said: \u201cJoe has a passion for telling stories and an incredible creative vision.
