{"id":12583,"date":"2019-04-09T01:00:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-09T05:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2019-04-09T10:32:57","modified_gmt":"2019-04-09T14:32:57","slug":"starz-acquires-chris-martin-directed-doc-under-the-wire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/starz-acquires-chris-martin-directed-doc-under-the-wire\/","title":{"rendered":"Starz Acquires Chris Martin-Directed Doc Under the Wire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starz has picked up the feature documentary <em>Under the Wire<\/em>, directed by the BAFTA-nominated Chris Martin, from A+E Networks.<\/p>\n<p><em>Under the Wire<\/em>, based on the book of the same name by photographer Paul Conroy, tells the story of his and the late <em>Sunday Times<\/em> war correspondent Marie Colvin\u2019s mission to cover the citizens of the war-torn Syrian city of Homs, and the ensuing battle to escape from the attacks waged by the Syrian army. The documentary features first-hand testimonies from Conroy and other survivors who recall their harrowing story. <em>Under the Wire<\/em> will premiere on Monday, April 22, at 9 p.m. on Starz.<\/p>\n<p>The feature doc is a co-production from London-based indie Arrow Media; History Films in association with A&amp;E IndieFilms; BBC Storyville and the British Film Institute (BFI) in association with Vice Films; and Arrow\u2019s joint creative director Tom Brisley.<\/p>\n<p>C. Brett Marottoli, head of program acquisitions for Starz, said: \u201cWe are proud to bring this unprecedented documentary to our viewers.
