Banijay Rights has landed a host of global deals for Apollo 8: The Mission That Changed the World<\/em>, a one-off documentary from Touchdown Films, ahead of this year\u2019s MIPTV.<\/p>\n The documentary has been sold to National Geographic Channel, Discovery Networks, Bell Media, VRT, RUV-Icelandic State Broadcasting and Discovery Corporate Services. Banijay is bringing the program to MIPTV alongside several other factual offerings.<\/p>\n Also from Touchdown Films and launching at MIPTV is docuseries Photos That Changed The World<\/em>, which looks at famous images from history and the stories behind them. The Making of Me<\/em> is a personal look at the transitioning process from one gender to another, from the initial decision to the medical procedures that follow. It is an RDF Television production for Channel 4.<\/p>\n The 3×1-hour Looking For Rembrandt<\/em>, a Matchlight production for BBC, marks the 350th anniversary of the death of the famous Dutch painter and seeks to unravel his mysterious life. One-off Abused By My Girlfriend<\/em> reveals the testimony of 23-year-old Alex Skeel, who survived an abusive relationship with his girlfriend, Jordan Worth, who eventually became the first woman in the U.K. to be convicted of coercive and controlling behavior.<\/p>\n Another of the company\u2019s offerings, London: 2000 Years Revealed<\/em>, examines the rise of the city from a swamp 2000 years ago to the global hub it is today.<\/p>\n Tim Mutimer, CEO at Banijay Rights, commented: \u201cWe are delighted that Apollo 8<\/em> has already been acquired by a lineup of leading factual networks for pan-regional distribution, as well as by local channels.
