Historian and author Andrea Wulf (<em>The Invention of Nature<\/em>) hosts.<\/p>\n<p><em>Humboldt: Epic Explorer<\/em> is produced by Spiegel TV for Smithsonian Networks, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises in association with Arte.<\/p>\n<p>David Royle, chief programming officer for Smithsonian Channel, said: \u201cSince launching Smithsonian Channel DirecTV in Latin America in 2018, we have made a major commitment to programs that tell the extraordinary story of the continent.
