Studios, Ace Film HK Company and Friendship Films have teamed up to produce <em>Cormans\u2019 Hollywood<\/em>, a multipart docuseries about the filmmaking duo of Roger Corman and Julie Corman.<\/p>\n<p><em>Cormans\u2019 Hollywood<\/em> was created, written and co-produced by Ashley Sidaway and Robert Sidaway. The series will explore the Cormans\u2019 joint career journey, featuring a candid portrait of the pair and the backstories of their popular films. It was filmed over four months in Los Angeles and includes footage from the Cormans\u2019 vast filmography as well as interviews with the legends themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Shout! Studios and Ace Film produced <em>Cormans\u2019 Hollywood<\/em> in association with Friendship Films. Shout! Studios will distribute the series in North America. Red Sea Media is handling international sales, excluding China, where Ace Film will handle distribution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a rewarding and emotional experience to share some of the great moments and memories from so many of our films over seven decades,\u201d said Roger and Julie Corman.\u00a0\u201cWe have been privileged to work as independents in Hollywood that in a way has allowed us to bring our stories to the screen for audiences around the world. We have worked with some great actors, directors and writers, and this has been a great opportunity to revisit the creation and production of these movies as producers, director and distributor. Our hope is that audiences get as much pleasure and fun from this series as we had making these films.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoger is undeniably one of the most prolific producers and directors in Hollywood,\u201d stated Shout\u2019s founders and CEOs, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos. \u201cHis movies entertained and stunned millions around the world. His and Julie\u2019s ingenuity and independent spirit resonate far beyond the silver screen and today\u2019s entertainment industry. It\u2019s important that their insights and stories continue for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robert Sidaway of Friendship Films commented: \u201cHaving always been a serious fan of Corman films and admired Roger and Julie\u2019s mix of commercial impulses with social themes, it\u2019s been wonderful to spend so much time in their company and record their personal creative drive, humor and passion that went into every one of their movies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Henry Luk, CEO of Ace, added: \u201cEver since Ace and Shout jointly acquired the Cormans\u2019 New Horizon Picture library, we\u2019ve been looking for additional opportunities to co-develop the library.
