Fremantle has secured the global rights, excluding the U.S., Canada and Israel, for the six-part documentary series Enslaved<\/em>, hosted by Oscar-nominated actor Samuel L. Jackson.<\/p>\n

Using underwater archaeology, Enslaved<\/em> chronicles the sea voyages that brought millions of Africans to a life of slavery in the New World. The 6×52-minute docuseries, which was created by Associated Producers, is directed by Emmy-winning journalist Simcha Jacobovici. It is produced by Felix Golubev and Ric Bienstock, with Jackson serving as one of many executive producers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, this is much more than a TV series,\u201d said Jackson \u201cFor me, Enslaved<\/em> is an attempt to give a voice to the millions whose voices were silenced.\u201d<\/p>\n
