It will be filmed in ultra HD and will examine Mexico\u2019s reefs, jungles, mountains, deserts and the open ocean. It is being co-produced for Smithsonian Channel by Earth Touch USA, Oscura Productions Mexico and the Mexican film funding program EFICINE, supported by FEMSA. Earth Touch will handle the international distribution of the film.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are committed to producing quality programming about the region, and to working with Latin American filmmakers,\u201d said David Royle, the executive VP and chief programming officer for Smithsonian Channel, \u201cWe are delighted to be working with such an exceptional international team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe plan to show the natural wonders of Mexico as never before,\u201d said Phil Fairclough, executive producer for Earth Touch.\u00a0\u201cMany people know Mexico as a vacation destination, but don\u2019t think of it as a remarkable wildlife hot spot.
