A&E Network has lined up the Biography special David Cassidy: The Last Session<\/em>, which sheds light on the singer\u2019s illness and final trips to the recording studio.<\/p>\n

Produced by Left\/Right, a Red Arrow Studios company, David Cassidy: The Last Session<\/em> will premiere on Monday, June 11, at 9 p.m., on A&E. The two-hour special offers insight into the late musician\u2019s story, told through his own words in never-before-heard audio tapes from 1976 and footage from his final recording session. Late last year, Cassidy invited a documentary film crew to chronicle the journey as he recorded a tribute to his father, Jack Cassidy. During production, he fell gravely and ill and revealed that alcoholism had likely been the main cause of the decline in his health, including his dementia.<\/p>\n

The documentary will feature interviews with people close to Cassidy. This includes rocker Alice Cooper, journalist and publicist Elliot Mintz, The Partridge Family<\/em> stars Danny Bonaduce and Brian Forster, and more.<\/p>\n
