{"id":11142,"date":"2018-04-16T12:43:53","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T16:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/weekender-set-two-seasons-spin-off-itv2\/"},"modified":"2018-04-16T12:45:46","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T16:45:46","slug":"weekender-set-for-two-more-seasons-spin-off-on-itv2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/weekender-set-for-two-more-seasons-spin-off-on-itv2\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekender Set for Two More Seasons &#038; Spin-off on ITV2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twofour and Motion Content Group have been commissioned by ITV2 to produce two additional seasons of the hit reality show <em>Weekender<\/em> as well as the tentatively titled spin-off series <em>The Weekender Boat Party<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Weekender Boat Party<\/em> will look on as favorite and new reps work aboard a yacht as they tour party hotspots over the course of six hour-long episodes. <em>Ibiza Weekender<\/em> and <em>Boat Party<\/em> are being executive produced by Gyles Neville for Twofour and Melanie Darlaston for Motion Content Group. Air dates for all three seasons will be revealed at a later time.<\/p>\n<p>Satmohan Panesar, commissioner for ITV2, stated: \u201cThere is only one <em>Weekender<\/em> and its ever-growing young audience are in for a treat when we set sail this summer and then return to Ibiza for more high jinx with our favorite group of reps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neville noted: \u201cWe are delighted with <em>Weekender<\/em>\u2019s continuing success and growing fan base\u2014its unique down-to-earth characters continue to be engaging in a way that makes us all want to be a part of their holiday season\u2014and with a <em>Boat Party<\/em> on board, the brand is even more accessible and aspirational than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Darlaston added: \u201cWith the reps taking to the high seas you can guarantee there will be plenty of mischief and drama!
