Red Bull Media House has been named the exclusive global media production and distribution partner for Berlin-based space pioneers PTScientists\u2019 first private mission to land on the moon.<\/p>\n
Mission to the Moon<\/em> will be a robotic space exploration mission led byPTScientists\u00a0CEO Robert B\u00f6hme in the second half of 2019. It will return to the historic landing site of the Apollo 17 mission, including where the final footprints and moon buggy were left behind. Red Bull Media House will work closely with PTScientists and its project partners, including mission timekeeper OMEGA and the Swiss running shoe brand On as mission gear partner, to tell the story of the mission.<\/p>\n Red Bull Media House will develop, produce and license the mission\u2019s live broadcasts, behind-the-scenes footage, feature documentaries and flanker content, related books and magazine print editions, and the mission\u2019s musical soundtrack. The company will also manage the project\u2019s global conversation across all social channels and media outlets around the world. This includes three live programs featuring multi-device compatible HD images from space at the start of the mission, ALINA\u2019s lunar landing and the first glimpse of the moon-roving vehicle; a 3×52-minute documentary series of the space pioneers produced by Terra Mater Factual Studios; a range of hardcover and print editions; and audio and musical events and licensing assets.<\/p>\n Broadcasting live throughout and using cutting-edge chip technologies from Infineon, the spacecraft ALINA (the Autonomous Landing and Navigation Module), will transport a pair of lunar rovers, developed by Audi, to explore the lunar environment and capture the first HD images from NASA\u2019s Apollo 17 landing site. They will study NASA\u2019s Apollo 17 lunar roving vehicle, which was used by Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt, the last astronauts to explore the moon in December 1972. Vodafone\u2019s network expertise will be used to set up the moon\u2019s first 4G LTE network and will enable the Audi lunar quattro rovers to communicate and transfer scientific data and HD video back to ALINA, which will transmit the information to Earth.<\/p>\n \u201cWe aim to create an \u2018Apollo moment\u2019 for a new generation,\u201d commented PTScientists\u2019 CEO\u00a0B\u00f6hme. \u201cPTScientists believe that space belongs to everyone and Mission to the Moon<\/em> will make space accessible for all to explore.
