BBC Studios’ science unit has been commissioned by Channel 4 to produce a program that examines the “fatberg” phenomenon.<\/p>\n
The one-hour program, tentatively titled Fatberg Autopsy<\/em>, will take an in-depth look at the masses of congealed fat and waste clogging up sewers in urban Britain. It will feature exclusive access to a recently detected giant London fatberg, believed to be one of the largest ever found in the capital. Rick Edwards presents as the engineering project brings the fatberg up to the surface before the extracted mass heads in for autopsy.<\/p>\n The program is Channel 4\u2019s first commission from BBC Studios and the first third-party commission for BBC Studios from a U.K. broadcaster.<\/p>\n Paul Overton, executive producer at BBC Studios, said: \u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to be working with Channel 4 and exciting to be carrying out a world first.
