The Irwin family\u2014Terri, Bindi and Robert\u2014will also serve as global ambassadors for Discovery Communications.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Crocodile Hunter<\/em>, which featured both Steve and Terri, aired on Animal Planet from 1996 through 2007. The series also featured Terri and Steve\u2019s children, Bindi and Robert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteve Irwin was a champion for all wildlife and he and Terri\u2019s excitement and enthusiasm brought viewers from around the world in touch with nature,\u201d said Patrice Andrews, the general manager of Animal Planet. \u201cTheir passion for animals, love for their family and leadership in conservation awareness left a strong legacy that continues today.
