{"id":10576,"date":"2017-10-12T11:42:23","date_gmt":"2017-10-12T15:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/vimn-secures-sales-channel-5-content\/"},"modified":"2017-10-12T14:01:50","modified_gmt":"2017-10-12T18:01:50","slug":"vimn-secures-sales-for-channel-5-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/vimn-secures-sales-for-channel-5-content\/","title":{"rendered":"VIMN Secures Sales for Channel 5 Content"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has signed agreements with several third-party broadcasters for original factual-entertainment content produced by Channel 5, including <em>Cruising with Jane McDonald<\/em>, ahead of MIPCOM.<\/p>\n<p>The deals for content in Channel 5\u2019s library span multiple territories in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland and the U.K.<em> Cruising with Jane McDonald<\/em>, produced by Channel 5\u2019s in-house production arm Elephant House Studios, was picked up by TV2 Danmark, along with the youth-focused series <em>Young Britain<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In Australia, SBS and Seven between them secured more than ten shows, including <em>Britain\u2019s Greatest Bridges<\/em>, <em>Inside\u2026<\/em>, <em>Heists That Shook the World<\/em> and<em> The Railways That Built Britain with Chris Tarrant<\/em>. In the U.K., A&amp;E Networks snapped up the pay-TV rights to <em>Cleopatra<\/em>,<em> Britain\u2019s Bloodiest Dynasty <\/em>and<em> Britain\u2019s Bloodiest Crown<\/em>. Additionally, Channel 5\u2019s<em>\u00a0&#8220;<\/em>shock docs,&#8221; including <em>Gold Digger and Proud<\/em>, <em>Mum\u2019s Gone Wild<\/em> and <em>My Mum\u2019s Hotter Than Me<\/em>, were picked up by SBS Belgium, RTL Nederland and Polsat in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The Channel 5 library of content includes more than 50 titles such as\u00a0<em>Britain\u2019s Greatest Bridges<\/em>, <em>Cleopatra<\/em> and a drama documentary film on Wallis Simpson that will launch at MIPCOM and air on Channel 5 this fall.
