Channel 5 has commissioned ITN Productions to produce an eight-part series tracking Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s rise and reign from her birth to her 21st-century rule.<\/p>\n
Tentatively titled Elizabeth<\/em>, the series will tell the Queen’s story through access to first-person and seldom-heard testimonials from those closest to her majesty throughout her life, alongside rarely seen archive material. Elizabeth is being distributed by TCB Media, which co-produced the series alongside SBS with Channel 5.<\/p>\n Lucy Willis, the commissioning editor for Channel 5, said: \u201cThis series will offer Channel 5 viewers a real treat and a unique insight into the Queen\u2019s incredible reign from the close friends, politicians and members of the Royal Household, who have known her best.\u201d<\/p>\n Ian Russell, the head of international programs at ITN Productions, said: \u201cITN Productions is uniquely placed to make this landmark series.
