Starz has lined up a slate of new documentaries on timely topics such as climate change and food waste to air monthly beginning this fall.<\/p>\n
The documentaries will premiere in the fall on Monday nights, beginning with The Age of Consequences<\/em> from director Jared P. Scott (Requiem for the American Dream<\/em>, Disruption<\/em>) on September 18 at 9 p.m. The documentary examines the impact of climate change, resource scarcity, migration and conflict through the lens of U.S. national security and global stability. On October 9, the channel will air 3 Hikers<\/em>, about three Americans who went hiking in Northern Iraqi Kurdistan in July 2009 and were captured and held as political hostages by the Iranian government for more than two years; followed by All Governments Lie: Truth, Deception, and the Spirit of I.F. Stone<\/em> on November 6. November 27 will see the premiere of Woman on Fire<\/em>, while Tickling Giants: The Arab Spring in Egypt<\/em> will air on December 18. Wasted!
