The series and climb are expected to be shot in March 2018. <em>Steve Backshall &amp; The Vertical Mile<\/em> will be available with three weeks of \u2018As Live\u2019 daily feeds, and as a completed format of 2&#215;50-minutes in 4K or 3&#215;30-minutes, also in 4K, with 5&#215;3-minute virtual-reality shorts.<\/p>\n<p>Backshall said: \u201cBeing able to take someone from their front room to the most terrifying place on the planet, is almost as big a thrill as climbing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ScreenDog Productions\u2019 Ed Kellie commented: \u201cSteve pushing himself to his very limits with this climb, and seeing how he and climbing partner Leo Houlding get through it, will make for a gripping story.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BBC has ordered Steve Backshall &#038;
