Quest, Discovery’s factual-entertainment channel in the U.K., has commissioned Woodcut Media to produce Wings of War<\/em>, a new documentary series focused on a century of aeronautical warfare.<\/p>\n Wings of War<\/em> will spotlight the role planes and their pilots have played throughout military history, and how aerial combat technology has advanced. The 10×60-minute production\u00a0will feature expert interviews, re-creations, engineering graphics and archive footage. It is being executive produced by Adam Jacobs and Kate Beal for Woodcut Media, and Jamie Watkins for Discovery. TCB Media Rights is serving as international distributor.<\/p>\n \u201cWings of War<\/em> pays homage to the military aircraft and aviators that shaped history in the last 100 years, whilst offering viewers a rich and in-depth perspective on the importance and evolution of military aviation,\u201d said Jacobs.<\/p>\n \u201cQuest viewers love aviation programming, and with the centenary of the RAF in 2018, this series tells the incredible stories about planes, their pilots and the impact they have had on our military history,\u201d noted\u00a0Simon Downing,\u00a0senior VP and head of Quest and Eurosport at Discovery Networks UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n Paul Heaney, founder and managing director of TCB Media Rights, added: \u201cBuyers love an anniversary, and planes generally rate well for them.
