Discovery in Canada has unveiled its summer lineup of new and returning series, with the annual programming event Shark Week kicking off on July 23.<\/p>\n
The eight-day shark-themed event will take over prime time beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, through to Sunday, July 30. The summer lineup will also feature the new series Cooper\u2019s Treasure<\/em>, premiering on June 4 at 8 p.m. The six-part documentary series follows treasure hunter Darrell Miklos in his search for a collection of shipwrecks that late NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper spotted from space. Following Cooper\u2019s Treasure<\/em>, an all-new season of Yukon Men<\/em> will premiere at 9 p.m. In the upcoming season, the villagers of Tanana, Alaska, face extinction as a wildfire threatens to wipe out the town. On June 13, Discovery will premiere the all-new series Devil\u2019s Canyon<\/em> at 10 p.m. Hacking the Wild<\/em> with digital survivalist Andy Quitmeyer\u00a0will debut on June 21 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n Investigation Discovery has also slated all-new shows, with the entire summer schedule becoming available for a Canada-wide free preview from July 26 to August 23. All-new series include Murder Among Friends<\/em> (June 8 at 10 p.m.), Married with Secrets<\/em> (June 27 at 9 p.m.) and Murder Chose Me<\/em> (August 15 at 10 p.m.). The true-crime series Fear Thy Neighbor<\/em> will return August 2 at 10 p.m. and will be available as part of the nationwide preview.<\/p>\n Discovery Velocity, Canada\u2019s only home for factual turbo programming, will feature 18 hours of the world\u2019s greatest classic car auction Barrett-Jackson<\/em> (June 22 to 24).
