From history to lifestyle, nature and wildlife to travel, straight factual to factual entertainment, the portfolio runs the gamut. As Noel Hedges, the company\u2019s executive VP of content and acquisitions, says: \u201cWe like to keep the DRG factual slate as diverse and as broad as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the factual categories, Hedges points out that crime is proving to be a \u201cstalwart distribution play,\u201d highlighting <em>Guiltology<\/em>, which puts a science twist on the tried-and-tested genre. He also notes the success of shows in the areas of wildlife and the natural world, and\u00a0the company recently launched the series<em> Journey<\/em> that satisfies this demand. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing a real appetite in the market for that kind of long-running, escapist factual programming that really takes people on a journey,\u201d Hedges says.
