PARIS/LOS ANGELES: Alhurra has acquired 208 episodes of Prime Entertainment Group’s celebrity and entertainment series through a package deal.

Alhurra signed on for 104 episodes of the magazine show Hollywood News Feed, as well as 104 episodes of Zoom In for 28 territories in North Africa and the Middle East. The shows will be delivered over the next two years until the end of 2017. They will be produced in Hollywood and will air in Arabic two days after the completion of the original English-language version.

David Freydt, the managing director of Prime Entertainment Group, commented: "We’re very proud to work with Alhurra; we like the channel very much. Their programming is all about making a positive impact, and we’re glad to be part of it thanks to our entertainment programs. Beyond the quality of our content, I think that the technical capacities of our team to deliver weekly programs on time and in all languages really [helped them decide] to work with us.”

Alhurra is a U.S.-based Arabic-language satellite TV channel that broadcasts news and current affairs programming to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa. The two firms have been partners since 2012, when Alhurra picked up Prime’s Stars.
