The funding effort is targeting individuals rather than companies, with investments as low as $500 accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The mena.tv platform was established to bolster the billion-dollar B2B market in premium TV content in the MENA region. More than 630 content buyers have so far registered with the platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now at a crucial stage in our growth,\u201d commented Founder and CEO Nick Grande. \u201cWe want to make \u2018checking in\u2019 an essential part of the day for every content professional in the region\u2014even if it\u2019s just to respond to a message from another member. To achieve this, we need to invest in our platform and recruit to strengthen our marketplace operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rather than targeting venture capital investors with its initial raise, mena.tv is focusing instead on the TV industry itself. Grande explained: \u201cWe want our users to benefit directly from our growth.
