Econet Media has inked a multi-territory broadcast deal with Turner\u00a0that will see the\u00a0kids’ channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang, as well as the news network CNN International, launching on\u00a0Kwes\u00e9 TV.<\/p>\n
Cartoon Network, Boomerang and CNN International\u00a0are slated to\u00a0become available\u00a0on the African broadcaster as of Wednesday, May 3. All three channels will be offered\u00a0via satellite television and on the Kwes\u00e9 mobile app, allowing audiences to enjoy content wherever they are across the continent.<\/p>\n
Joseph Hundah, the president and group CEO\u00a0of Econet Media, said: \u201cWe are a relatively new broadcaster with ambitions to become one of Africa\u2019s leading networks. Our objective is to give more viewers in Africa access to the best in international and local content. This agreement with a global leader like Turner strengthens our proposition and takes us closer to achieving our goal.
