Kicking off the second day of the TV Latina Festival, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gascue, the executive VP, head of global sales at Calinos Entertainment, spoke with Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor of TV Latina<\/em>, about the important moment when he joined the company and how his years of industry experience helped him navigate new terrain in the media industry.<\/p>\n During the conversation, which you can view in its entirety here<\/strong><\/a>, Gascue also highlighted the enduring success of Turkish dramas. \u201cYou can\u2019t look at the Turkish novela as a completely Turkish product,\u201d Gascue said. \u201c[As Latinos], we have a lot of physical similarities. Also, you have all these Turkish artists starring in dramas that have garnered plenty of success in Latin America. These productions are practically melodramas. Latin American audiences are used to melodramas.
