The adaptation of scripted series such as Drop Dead Diva and international format hits like Shark Tank were some of the topics that Ana Bond, the senior VP and general manager of international production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic at Sony Pictures Television, highlighted during the TV Latina Festival.

In a conversation with TV Latina’s Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, which you can see here, Bond said: “Drop Dead Diva is a title we’ve always been attracted to. It has escapism, it’s aspirational, and we’ve worked hard on the adaptation. It’s not only about keeping the format fresh, but we’ve also made it more familiar and significant. [Regarding Shark Tank], we have the Mexican, Colombian and Brazilian versions. It is a wonderful format that makes us proud. We’re delivered it in the region where there are many entrepreneurs and creativity.”

Bond also spoke about how the company prioritizes widowing for original productions made in Latin America, as well as more global opportunities.

You can see the complete interview here.
