The new Mexico-based production unit is currently in preproduction of its first project for the network, the eighth season of <em>El Senor de los Cielos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new Mexico team solidifies Telemundo\u2019s presence across the Americas, building on our stature as the largest producer of Spanish-language scripted content in the U.S.,\u201d said Karen Barroeta, executive VP of production and development for Telemundo Global Studios. \u201cThis new production arm will leverage our extensive production experience in Mexico together with the unparalleled know-how and robust infrastructure only NBCUniversal and Telemundo Global Studios can provide.
