TelevisaUnivision spotlighted the content and capabilities that are fueling the Spanish-language media company\u2019s growth across all aspects of its business during its\u00a02022-23 Upfront presentation.<\/p>\n
Donna Speciale, president of U.S. advertising sales and marketing at TelevisaUnivision, said, \u201cWe\u2019re putting more investment, more momentum and more growth behind our ability to better inform, empower and entertain the Hispanic community\u2014and deliver opportunities for all of you to grow with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pierluigi Gazzolo, president and chief transformation officer at TelevisaUnivision, spoke about the unique value proposition of the company\u2019s two-tiered, AVOD and SVOD, global Spanish-language streaming platform, ViX, and announced several new productions that will deliver more original content.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe scope of our content offering and the attached star power is unmatched,\u201d Gazzolo said. \u201cViX is not a repurposing of our TV offering. We are investing a significant amount of incremental dollars in content and sports rights above and beyond our networks. It\u2019s more original content en espa\u00f1ol than anyone else\u2014no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the opportunity for advertisers, Speciale said, \u201cViX is an incredible environment for brands. It adds to our massive reach and sits at the heart of our premium digital video offering.\u201d<\/p>\n
Among the new announcements is the tentatively titled Enamor\u00e1ndonos<\/em> spin-off Enamor\u00e1ndonos, La Isla<\/em> (Enamor\u00e1ndonos, The Island<\/em>), a reality show dedicated to finding love hosted by actor, singer and TV host Carlos Ponce and the TV personality and journalist Karina Banda. The series will be available in the U.S. and Latin America. There is also Koati, The Series<\/em>, an animated series based on the family film created by and starring Sofia Vergara.<\/p>\n TelevisaUnivision further highlighted its suite of capabilities that enable brands to grow their engagement with U.S. Hispanics in-culture and in-language, including insights, creative marketing solutions and the recently launched Spanish-language brand studio As\u00ed Studios. Additionally, the company is launching a Hispanic data graph to solve for the inequities causing U.S. Hispanics to be underrepresented in current data sets.<\/p>\n \u201cLast year, we promised to build the world\u2019s first-ever Hispanic data graph, and today we are up and running,\u201d said Speciale. \u201cOur graph provides the biggest and most accurate picture of this vital audience you will find.
