During a TV Latina Screenings Festival session, Dago Garc\u00eda, the VP of production and content at Caracol Televisi\u00f3n, talked about the company\u2019s venture in the Mexican production market, the Vicente Fern\u00e1ndez bioseries and Caracol\u2019s associations with platforms around the world. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In conversation with Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor at TV Latina<\/i>, which you can view here<\/b><\/a>, Garc\u00eda said: \u201cThe move to produce in Mexico is part of our strategy that looks to globalize the Caracol brand. The first stage included sales of finished product. We then co-produced with Telemundo, TV Azteca and Warner. Afterward, we approached platforms to not only co-produce but also commission. The next step was to produce outside our territory. It\u2019s no secret that the most interesting market with the greatest potential is Mexico. So it was logical to take our production initiatives to another territory, and what better way of doing it than in [that country] with a Mexican and Latin American musical icon like Vicente Fern\u00e1ndez.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garc\u00eda also highlighted the partnership the company has with Netflix and working with Prime Video, as well as the success of their musical productions and the development of theatrical content.<\/p>\n
