MIP Cancun has revealed that Marcelo Tamburri, head of scripted content development at WarnerMedia Latin America, will deliver a keynote address at the 2021 event.<\/p>\n
Titled HBO Max: The New Path For Mexican Fiction, the keynote will see Tamburri discuss the role Mexican stories and talent are playing in HBO Max\u2019s content strategy. He will outline the vision and the creative process behind the local content development for HBO Max in Latin America.<\/p>\n
In his position, Tamburri leads the creation of concepts and the development of scripted original series for HBO Max and also for the general entertainment pay-TV brands of WarnerMedia in Latin America. Previously, he was VP and general manager of Space, WarnerChannel, I.SAT and TCM, with the responsibility of developing the strategy of the networks for the region.<\/p>\n

The eighth edition of MIP Cancun is set to take place at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun from November 16 to 19.\u00a0In addition to keynotes, this year\u2019s event will include In Conversation With sessions, looking at recent and upcoming developments for the industry, and a Market Intelligence session with market analysis and insights on content consumption, production and platform proliferation trends.<\/p>\n
Already confirmed in the In Conversation With lineup are Catalina Porto Urdaneta, executive production manager at Caracol Televisi\u00f3n for Colombia and Mexico; Arlen Torres, executive producer at Caracol Televisi\u00f3n in Colombia; and Christian Gabela, senior VP and head of Latin America and Spain at Gaumont in the U.S. In the panel session, they will discuss production strategies in Latin America and Mexico.<\/p>\n
Daniel Punt, senior managing director at FTI Consulting in the U.S. will present Market Intelligence: Valuations and the Media Company.<\/p>\n
