Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) has promoted Tonia O\u2019Connor to chief revenue officer, a newly created role.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Connor will continue to report to Randy Falco, the president and CEO of UCI, and remain based in New York. The new post marks an integrated content monetization strategy and consolidated oversight of all of UCI\u2019s revenue streams\u2014linear and digital advertising, content distribution and new revenue development. O\u2019Connor originally joined the company as executive VP of distribution sales and marketing in January 2008.<\/p>\n
Among O\u2019Connor\u2019s first actions as CRO will be to appoint a successor to Keith Turner, UCI\u2019s president of advertising sales and marketing, who recently announced his plans to retire at the end of 2017, and to lead a seamless transition for the advertising sales and marketing team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis new executive position not only recognizes the extraordinary track record of impact Tonia has made\u2014and will continue to make\u2014on our company, but it also represents an important shift in the way we are now approaching our business,\u201d Falco said. \u201cBy adopting a total revenue strategy, we will be able to better partner with our clients to create consumer-first, multiplatform solutions and invest in our content, platforms and insights with improved targeting and servicing of our audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
