Top executives from Netflix, Globo, Mediapro, FOX Networks Group Latin America, Turner, TVE and TV Azteca have signed on for the MIP Cancun Latin America TV Market and are on the event’s advisory board.<\/p>\n
The inaugural MIP Cancun advisory board consists of Diego Avalos, the director of international originals at Netflix in the U.S.; Raphael Corr\u00eaa Netto, the executive director of international business at Globo in Brazil; Laura Fern\u00e1ndez Espeso, the head of international content at Mediapro in Spain; Gonzalo Fiure, the senior VP and chief content officer at FOX Networks Group Latin America in the U.S.; Francisco Morales, the senior director of content acquisition and development at Turner Latin America in the U.S.; Toni Sevilla, the director of content, channels and program production at TVE in Spain; and Ana Celia Urquidi, the managing director of strategic development and talent at TV Azteca in Mexico.<\/p>\n
The board will attend MIP Cancun\u00a0and help guide the new Co-Production Matchmaking Market, a three-day program meant to foster content development with the region\u2019s leading players. The execs\u00a0will lead the matchmaking event in its goal to match potential co-pro partners and facilitate new projects and co-productions between broadcasters, production companies and international distribution platforms spanning drama, factual and animated programming.<\/p>\n
This year’s MIP Cancun will be held at the Moon Palace Cancun meeting center in Mexico from November 15 to 17. It will also include the 1-to-1 Distribution Market, as well as networking events, exclusive screenings, and panels on a variety of topics affecting the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic television sector.<\/p>\n
