VICE Media has clinched a deal with Globosat to expand its presence in Brazil across online, mobile and linear platforms.<\/p>\n

The alignment with Globosat allows it to build on its existing digital presence and boost its local production capabilities. The deal also brings VICELAND-branded blocks to Globosat channels beginning at the end of this year. As part of the agreement, Globosat is picking up a significant minority stake in VICE Brazil, but VICE retains full editorial control of its content.<\/p>\n

VICE is aiming to extend its international presence to more than 80 territories by Q1 2018 and Brazil is seen as a key area of expansion given its youth population of more than 50 million.<\/p>\n
