{"id":3333,"date":"2017-05-12T12:46:40","date_gmt":"2017-05-12T16:46:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvlatina\/telemundo-universo-unveil-850-plus-hours-for-2017-18-season\/"},"modified":"2017-05-12T12:51:02","modified_gmt":"2017-05-12T16:51:02","slug":"telemundo-universo-unveil-850-plus-hours-for-2017-18-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvlatina\/telemundo-universo-unveil-850-plus-hours-for-2017-18-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Telemundo &#038; Universo Unveil 850-Plus Hours for 2017-18 Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises has revealed a lineup of more than 850 hours of new formats and multiplatform original content for Telemundo and Universo for the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n<p>Telemundo\u2019s new prime-time programming lineup features three super series, including the return of <em>Queen of the South <\/em>(<em>La Reina del Sur<\/em>), <em>The Lord of the Skies<\/em> (<em>El Se\u00f1or de los Cielos<\/em>) and <em>The Acero Dynasty<\/em> (<em>Se\u00f1ora Acero, La Coyote<\/em>). The lineup will also feature five new miniseries, among them a program based on the life of music icon Luis Miguel, as well as <em>El Secreto de Selena<\/em>, which tells the story behind the death of beloved Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla.<\/p>\n<p>On the digital front, Telemundo is presenting the first-ever virtual reality experience for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Double Acci\u00f3n 52. For the first time ever, Telemundo will present the Spanish-language broadcast of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia next season. There is also the network\u2019s first digital bilingual reality show, <em>Love Clicks 24\/7<\/em>; the first-ever Hispanic Snapchat show; and two multiplatform content collaborations with BuzzFeed, with the working titles <em>Face-Off <\/em>(<em>Frente a Frente<\/em>) and <em>SLS Weekend Wrap<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Alternative and live programming on the slate is <em>Don Francisco Invites You<\/em> (<em>Don Francisco Te Invita<\/em>), the tentatively titled <em>The Great Opportunity<\/em> (<em>Gran Oportunidad<\/em>), the Latin American Music Awards, <em>MasterChef Latino<\/em>, the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Your World Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Universo, Telemundo Enterprises\u2019 entertainment cable channel, will bring back its proven hit \u201cceleb-realities,\u201d including <em>The Riveras<\/em> and <em>Larrymania<\/em>.
