Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has entered into Latin America with the launch of its Spanish-language Bollywood movie channel Zee Mundo in Mexico and Ecuador.<\/p>\n
Zee Mundo will become available on pay-TV satellite provider Sky in Mexico and Central America, and on TV Cable in Ecuador. This deal sees ZEE become the first-ever Indian broadcaster to bring\u00a0mainstream networks\u00a0to the Latin American\u00a0market.<\/p>\n
Amit Goenka, CEO of the international broadcast business at ZEEL, said: \u201cAfter Zee Mundo\u2019s success in the U.S. Hispanic market, where the channel\u2019s unique offering has captivated viewers, we are now set to increase our footprint with a strategic expansion into Latin America. This is a key market for us and we want to take this channel to the length and breadth of audiences in both Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking Latin America. We are launching our channel on the region\u2019s biggest platforms\u2014Sky in Mexico and TV Cable in Ecuador\u2014and soon we will be expanding across Latin America.\u201d<\/p>\n
