BUENOS AIRES: Pierluigi Gazzolo, the president of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) \u2013 Am\u00e9ricas, has announced that Telefe\u2019s new management team, which incorporates the rest of the company\u2019s portfolio in Argentina, will be co-led by Guillermo Campanini as COO and Dario Turovelzky as director of global content.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis new co-leadership structure, which has been in development since the acquisition, will support the company\u2019s growth strategy in Argentina with direct reporting to the parent company of VIMN Am\u00e9ricas in Miami, which will ensure the incorporation of Viacom\u2019s main strategy, which is to elevate Telefe to new heights as a global company,\u201d the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Campanini will be in charge of all business and operations, including ad sales, content distribution, news, management, corporate services, finances, technology and operations. He will also be responsible for all commercial areas, as well as all strategic and operational service departments. With more than 20 years working in television, \u201cCampanini accumulates a wealth of valuable experience in the industry and at Telefe, which will now focus on advancing the company\u2019s growth in Argentina,\u201d noted VIMN Am\u00e9ricas.<\/p>\n
Turovelzky has been appointed director of global content at Telefe and the rest of Viacom\u2019s Cono Sur\u2019s portfolio of channels. In this position, Turovelzky will supervise programming, content development, production, digital platforms, artistic press, feature film production and international co-productions. He will also serve in these areas for MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel, working closely with pan-regional brand managers of each of these brands to consolidate growth in Argentina and the rest of the Southern Cone. \u201cHis vast experience in content programming and production at Telefe and other national and international production outfits, will be of great value in strengthening and expanding the company\u2019s position as an international hub of content and creativity,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

The management team also includes Paula Guerra, who will be in charge of content distribution for all of the company\u2019s portfolio, as well as business affairs, human resources, institutional relations, corporate communications and trade marketing that will support all commercial divisions. Guerra has spent 20 years at VIMN Argentina, with the last 10 years serving as general manager.<\/p>\n
Gustavo Capua will lead the finance, technology, facilities and operations, supporting all of the company\u2019s channel needs.<\/p>\n
Claudio Ipolitti will continue to helm Telefe\u2019s news division, as well as supervise the interior channels, institutional relations and will add corporate communications to his responsibilities.<\/p>\n
