NEW YORK: A judge has ordered that Univision stations be restored on Charter Communications’ cable service, at least for the time being.<\/p>\n

A judge who was temporarily assigned to the case said that stations had to go back on air on the platform for seven days. The order only lasts until February 9, when the judge permanently assigned to the litigation is back in court. For the seven-day period that it is receiving Univision\u2019s services, Charter Spectrum will be required to post a bond covering the actual market value of Univision\u2019s programming, rather than the rates that Charter Spectrum has been paying.<\/p>\n

“Univision remains ready and willing to meet at any time with Charter Spectrum to engage in comprehensive, good-faith negotiations for the long-term carriage of our stations and networks,” Univision Communications said in a statement. “To date, Charter Spectrum has steadfastly refused to engage in such negotiations.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
