S\u00c3O PAULO: Raphael Corr\u00eaa Netto is taking over Globo’s international business division as Ricardo Scalamandr\u00e9, the company’s international business director, begins his retirement transition process.<\/p>\n

Corr\u00eaa Neto has been with\u00a0Globo\u2019s international business division for more than 15 years. His new\u00a0duties include\u00a0negotiating international shows and content; overseeing Globo\u2019s network operation and business model abroad; forging new partnerships and developing international co-productions.<\/p>\n

Willy Haas, Globo\u2019s business director, remarked: \u201cRicardo Scalamandr\u00e9 has been ahead of Globo\u2019s strategy for the international market over the past few years, including the launch of our very first channel abroad, the expansion of the dramaturgy and sports licensing process, and the establishment of partnerships for international productions. His invaluable contribution and expertise have helped us develop the international television market, and our doors will always be open for new partnership projects in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

On January 19, Corr\u00eaa Neto will be participating in a NATPE panel titled “Content Twists in Latin America,” in which he will discuss the challenges of producing a Spanish version of\u00a0Supermax<\/em>\u00a0for the international market. At the event, Globo\u00a0will be promoting the telenovelas Time After Time<\/em>, Rising Sun<\/em> (working title), Total Dreamer<\/em>, Burning Hearts<\/em>, Wounded Past<\/em> and Lady Revolution<\/em>, as well as the miniseries Above Justice<\/em> and Nothing Remains the Same<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
