BUENOS AIRES: Argentina’s Telefe has renewed Loco x Vos<\/em>, an adaptation of the hit U.S. sitcom Mad About You<\/em>, for a second season, to air in 2017.<\/p>\n

Loco x Vos<\/em> stars Juan Minujin and Julieta Zylberberg. The series tells the love story between Pablo, a documentary director, and Nati, a public relations specialist. They are deeply in love, but they go through all the typical conflicts and problems that every couple goes through at the beginning of living together.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re thrilled with the fact that Mad About You<\/em> is such a successful format in Argentina,” said Alex Marin, the executive VP of international distribution for Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada for Sony Pictures Television, which distributes the format. “Our wonderful partners from Telefe have developed an excellent adaptation of the series, which has been welcomed by the local public. We hope the success will continue for the series\u2019 second season.”<\/p>\n

Tomas Yankelevich, Telefe\u2019s director of global contents and international businesses, added, \u201cThis successful show\u2019s plot still prevails and has a lot to do with Telefe\u2019s target, which is family content. We have an excellent relationship with Sony, which allowed us to rely on the strength of their scripts, and taking on the adaptation of Mad About You<\/em> wasn\u2019t a mistake. It was a huge challenge for us, but we were able to grasp the heart of it and lead prime time.
