MIAMI: Telemundo Network has appointed Mario Ruiz as its senior VP of music and entertainment projects, effective immediately.<\/p>\n
In his new position, Ruiz will use his music industry experience to leverage the channel’s existing music properties and talent, and develop new music content and business opportunities for the company across all of its platforms. He will continue to work under Luis Silberwasser, the president of Telemundo Network, and will be based in Miami.<\/p>\n
Ruiz previously served as Telemundo’s senior VP of talent development and strategy. Before that, he was a consultant and executive producer for the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (LARAS). Earlier in his career, he held the role of\u00a0VP of talent for Univision Networks.<\/p>\n
