(UCI) has tapped Beau Ferrari for the newly created position of executive VP of corporate strategy and development.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment is effective immediately. In this new expanded role, Ferrari will partner with UCI\u2019s division leaders on strategic business initiatives, investments and merger and acquisition efforts. He will remain based in Miami where he will report to Frank Lopez-Balboa, the CFO of UCI.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari most recently served as executive VP of operations for UCI, where he has been responsible for managing the growth and profitability of the company\u2019s content offerings across its entertainment, news, sports and cable platforms. He also previously served as interim CEO and general manager of FUSION, interim co-head of Univision Sports and chief of staff\/special assistant to the CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are at a pivotal point in our company\u2019s history and Beau\u2019s appointment to this new strategic position underscores our commitment to working with external partners and our divisional leaders to identify opportunities for investment and value creation for the company,\u201d said Lopez-Balboa.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari remarked: \u201cI have had the privilege to work with many of our new businesses during this time of unprecedented growth for UCI.
