\n\tSANTA MONICA: Televisa USA, Grupo Televisa’s English-language-programming subsidiary, has hired Jonathan South as director of worldwide sales and David Sigurani as director of scripted development, two newly created roles.<\/p>\n
\n\tSouth will head the acquisitions and sales of Grupo Televisa’s English-language original series earmarked for the global market, while Sigurani will develop Grupo Televisa’s vast library of international formats into scripted series, as well as search for third-party content. Additionally, Sigurani will work with Carmen Cervantes, the director of special projects, to oversee unscripted development\/production and manage Latin talent relationships with international crossover appeal. Both executives will report to Chris Philip, the head of production and distribution for Televisa USA.<\/p>\n
\n\tSouth joins Televisa USA from U.K.-based on-demand subscription service Magine AB, where he served as senior VP of content. Sigurani, meanwhile, previously held production and development posts at Cutler Productions and Prospect Park.
