\n\tMIAMI: As part of a reorganizing of its global distribution team, Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) has appointed both Helen Jurado and Miguel Somoza to the position of VP of sales.<\/p>\n
\n\tJurado will be responsible for the Central and South American regions, with an emphasis on developing the Brazilian and Argentinean markets. Somoza will oversee North America, with a focus on expanding the company’s presence in Mexico and continuing to boost sales opportunities in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n
\n\tCristobal Ponte of Sahara Management Holdings, a long-time exclusive independent sales representative, will continue to represent the CMD catalogue in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n
\n\tFormer CMD VP Cesar Diaz—who recently launched his own distribution venture, 7A Media—will serve as an independent representative for Asia, in addition to evaluating and developing special projects.<\/p>\n
\n\tMarcello Coltro, the executive VP of content distribution at Cisneros Media, said: “To empower our sales executives and increase our presence in core markets, while expanding our clients’ portfolio, we defined a solid strategic plan that includes the implementation of new sales strategies, revaluation and enhancement of our vast portfolio of products—from third-party producers to our original programming—securing an exclusive mix of formats, scripts and productions that target a wide range of viewers.”<\/p>\n
