\n\tLOS ANGELES: Lucha Underground<\/em>, a Spanish-language wrestling series from Robert Rodriguez<\/a>, FactoryMade Ventures and Mark Burnett<\/a>’s United Artists Media Group, has been slated to debut on UniMás in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 39-episode wrestling program will become part of the network’s Saturday lineup beginning November 1, following Wednesday night premieres on Rodriguez’s own cable channel, El Rey Network. The original series will seek to introduce American audiences to the distinctive wrestling techniques of lucha libre, one of Mexico’s most popular sports.<\/p>\n

\n\tUnited Artists Media Group, in association with FactoryMade Ventures, produces the show for El Rey Network. Executive producers are Burnett, Brian Edwards and Eric Van Wagenen (who is also the showrunner) for United Artists Media Group; Dorian Roldán from Lucha Libre AAA; Alejandro Garcia and Antonio Cué Sánchez-Navarro; Rodriguez; and FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa. United Artists Media Group will distribute the series internationally.<\/p>\n
