\n\tMIAMI\/BOGOTÁ: Sony Pictures Television and RCN Television are teaming up to co-produce a teleseries based on the life of Colombian film and TV star Lady Tabares.<\/p>\n
\n\tTitled Lady, La vendedora de rosas<\/em>, the 70×60-minute series will follow the rise and fall of the actress, who gained international recognition for her starring role in the movie The Rose Seller<\/em>, but was then convicted at age 20 in the murder of a taxi driver. Production has already begun on location in and around Medellín and Bogotá, with the series due to air on Colombia’s RCN Television. Sony Pictures Television will handle international distribution.<\/p>\n \n\t“From the moment we read the first script, we knew we had something wonderfully unique on our hands,” said Angélica Guerra, the senior VP and managing director of production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic at Sony Pictures Television. “There are many incredible twists and turns that sometimes it is hard to imagine that Lady, La vendedora de rosas<\/em> is based on a true story.
