An original nightly satire block, featuring a sports comedy talk show tentatively titled <em>Sports Bar<\/em>, will be led by David Javerbaum, a former executive producer and head writer for <em>The Daily Show with Jon Stewart<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Other weeknight programming will offer commentary from Alicia Menendez and Derrick N. Ashong (<em>D.N.A.<\/em>).&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">For the weekends, the channel has lined up a variety of original series, specials and documentaries, including <em>Strange Medicine<\/em>, presented by Dr. Juan Rivera, and <em>Back Home<\/em>, which watches as different individuals travel to their family&#8217;s country of origin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Cablevision, Charter, Cox, AT&amp;T U-verse, Verizon FiOS and Google Fiber have already signed up to carry Fusion, which will make its debut on Monday, October 28.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&quot;We believe our programs&mdash;visually compelling, creatively produced and laced with humor and irreverence&mdash;will resonate with Latinos and non-Latinos alike,&quot; noted Beau Ferrari, acting president for Fusion. &quot;Fusion&#8217;s unique combination of news, satire and original series is a completely new offering for the most exciting and fastest-growing group of young people in the country.&quot; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIAMI: Fusion, an upcoming network featuring news and lifestyle content for Latinos and millenials, is set to launch in millions of homes throughout the U.S. this fall.
