His duties will include supervising the distribution of Sundance Channel throughout Latin America, including oversight and management of affiliate sales and marketing in the region.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><font face=\"Verdana\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">Lopez was previously the VP and regional counsel for Discovery Communications, where he handled all legal and regulatory affairs for the company in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. Before that he served as the senior director of legal affairs for HBO Latin America Group.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Palluth noted: &quot;Gus is a seasoned media executive who brings with him a wealth of&nbsp;experience across Latin America.
